Porter-Cable CFFN250N 16-Gauge Finish Nailer 18-Gauge Brad Nailer Compressor Combo Kit Porter-Cable CFFN250N 16-Gauge Finish Nailer 18-Gauge Brad Nailer Compressor Combo Kit
Price : $560.00 $380.00

To be honest, we looked twice at the price, certain the folks at Amazon had made a mistake. But sure enough, they're right--and so is the price. Porter-Cable makes some of the best pneumatic tools in the industry, and these nailers are two prime examples. The 16-gauge is sturdy, compact, lighter and quieter than you'd expect with a grip even smaller hands can get around. Great balance, easy depth-of-drive adjustment, and a pleasure to use. Similarly, the 18-gauge is light but rugged, comfortable and maneuverable, even in awkward places or after long runs. Some other features we like: a special hardened driver blade, a sequential fire trigger, a visual reload indicator, a safety located behind the driver guide for driving brads in tight spaces and an easy-to-adjust depth guide. Both guns have directional exhausts, too. The pancake-style compressor has a six-gallon tank and easily runs both guns at the same time. It's light, portable and doesn't want much from you in terms of maintenance--it's oil-free and Teflon-coated. Some other reasons to like it: a high-flow regulator, an easy-to-read air pressure gauge, automatic thermal overload protection, an industrial-style quick-connect body in the air outlet, and a long-life motor with replaceable brushes. We can't imagine this deal will be around forever.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

Poor customer service

I bought this kit since it seemed to be a good deal on all the air tools I needed for finish nailing (except a pin nailer). No complaints about the guns, but the compressor didn't work from day one, even though I followed PC's "break-in" instructions; there seemed to be a leak somewhere internally, as it never got past about 50 psi. I called PC's customer service number repeatedly over a three day period and spent hours upon hours on hold with the call never being picked up. In the end, I trashed the compressor and bought another brand, figuring that I still got a pretty decent deal on the guns.
Given that experience I will never buy another Porter Cable product again and recommend looking into customer service on any brand of tool you buy - a tool that doesn't work and won't get fixed/replaced is never a good deal.

Nice nut loud

Nice compressor and nail guns however it is kind of loud. I have never had a problem with any of it since I bought it 4 years ago.

Nice Quality

I am pretty impressed with the quality of these three items. I did some serious comparing with other nailer/compressor kits before buying this one and very glad I went with Porter Cable. I would reccommend these items to anyone for the price and quality.

Great Tool

I used this compressor last year to put the wood floors down in my house. All I can say is it's easy to work, and it made what could be a tough job easy. It was also used to put up all kind of moldings and did it quickly, and neatly.

The reason it got 4 stars is because like others have stated, it's loud. My wife and the pets hate it. I on the other hand, love it.

Great Set

I've owned this set for about 6 months and have used the nailers regularly. I even added the framing nailer to the set all have performed flawlessly to this point. Great deal for the money.

This is a reconditioned power tool. Reconditioned generally means that the tool has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the tool back to like new condition. Some tools may contain cosmetic blemishes.

Amazing Value

My first compressor and not a single complaint about it. Refurbished is an insane value - I mean what a great price! Comes with the brads, finish nails, carrying case, finish nailer, staple gun, brad nailer, fitting and hose = everything you need to get started right away!

great deal for the money

I'm rating this a five star only because it came as promised, after I had to send back the first mislabeled box which contained the 2 pack. Called CPO Bostitch who were great to deal with, sent me out another within four days which to my surprise came in PERFECT condition.(If you go through the amazon email process they may not get the email for whatever reason use the 800 number amazon gives you if it happens to you) Compressor, AND all three guns looked brand new, came with nails, hose, manuals and bag. Compressor fired right up and rose to the rated 135 psi then shut off like its supposed to other people were complaining theirs didnt but this one was as promised. Like I said maybe should have given it a four star rating but due to conition it arrived in and customer support it deserves the five, great deal for the money just hoping it lasts.

I love a deal and this is a great one.

I got this big box in the mail and I was a little worried after reading other responces about packaging but when i opened it, it was like christmas. Every thing worked great, everything looked brand new and I was tickled pink. Thank you Amazon for a great deal.

Can't tell that it is reconditioned!

Product arrived via UPS in fine shape. Like many of the reviews for the CPACK3 and CPACK300, the packaging of the unit is very poor and the items inside tend to shift around. In my case, this didn't end up being a problem as all items are still like new. Some reviewers did not receive fasteners...I received fasteners for 2 of the 3 guns. I bought this product for the compressor and guns, not the fasteners, so that isn't a big deal to me. Thus far I've used the finish nailer and the brad nailer and they have worked flawlessly for installing baseboards and chair rails.

Questions & Answers Powered by Yahoo! Answers
Question : What size air conditioner do i need
like how many Btu' I just want to cool my computer room. its about 10 by 15 feet.

Answer:
You need 5000 BTU to cool your room, but I would go with 6500 BTU made by Zenith. It will cost you 139.00 at Homedepot it should have 5 year warranty, and I think you will like the bigger one..

Question : What size air compressor do I need to blow out irrigation system
Residential system, will be closing for New England winter myself. Need to buy a new or used compressor.

Answer:
Any 'pancake', or 'torpedo' type of compressor should be able to handle this. 'Pancake' compressors are usually about 1.5 gallons, 'torpedo' compressors are usually about 2 to 3 gallons. Both types can be used to run nailers, etc. You can get compressors that hold up to about 6 gallons, but really, its the same compressor as on the torpedo style, just a different tank.If the only time you're going to use it is to winterize your sprinkler... I'd suggest that you rent one, rather than buy one.Give some thought to how you're going to connect the air to the sprinkler system.Have Fun
