Reading the manual is required
Read the manual first which is a must. Afterwards, it's pretty easy to use. I tested the unit on my road bicycle w/ Presta valves. Obviously the Air Station isn't compatible with Presta valves (I have a Schrader valve adapter handy. You can get one at your local bike shop for about $3.) I set the Air Station to 100 PSI (the max psi on my bike is 125)and pressed the LCD power button. The manual mentions the Air Station "walking" by itself, but that didn't happen to mine. Although loud, it did the job well. I noticed during usage, the battery meter instantly went to one bar. I fully charged it for 5 hours prior to using so not sure what's up with that. Apparently, some reviewers are having trouble removing the air valve after use. TIP: Wiggle it off clockwise while gently pulling away or don't stick it in all the way. Worked for me :)
Pro's: - Filled my bike tires in less than 5 minutes. - Very portable - Easy to use (at least for me)
Con's: - Price(Expensive for what it does) - Loud - Battery life - Air hose is short - not enough accessory slots ( I use hand pump for basketballs so had to take that out) - A built-in flashlight w/ a separate switch would have been nice

Perfect for car tires.
I have to say, this has come in very handy for inflating car tires. I have one that tends to leak, but nobody has been able to find anything wrong with it, so I wind up filling it up about once a month. It's so nice to be able to use my very own inflator at home, no coins required ;)
We've also been using ours for inflating bicycle tires and some of our heavy-duty pool inflatables. Operation of this is not 100 percent intuitive and if you don't use it often, you may forget how to perform all of the operations, so maintaining possession of the instruction manual is critical. I would recommend storing them together.
All-in-all, I'm very pleased with this inflator and although we aren't campers, I'm positive that campers would absolutely love having one of these.

need to read the directions, but very good
I wanted the air inflator to take with me as I travel. the fact that this has a built in battery was the attraction. the battery has a fairly short life but I could pump up 2 tired from 27 to 36 pounds in about 5 minutes. Had I shopped farther I would have looked for a compressor that had the ability to jump start the car also. This manufacturer has one like that. I saw one at Wal-Mart for about $75. Getting to understand how to program this machine was a bit confusing and the fact you had to restart and push in the air pressure each time took understanding and practice. I found this out when I tried to teach my 47 yr old daughter about this when she borrowed it. This will be handy on any trip and will save me from spending .75 cents each time I want to air up the tires. W.T. Hansen, Joplin, Mo.

Black & Decker Cordless Air Station
This product is exactly what I was looking for. It is small, multi-tasking, and easy to use. I primarily use it to check the air pressure of the tires and keep them properly inflated. I first check the existing tire pressure, dial up what pressure I want and fill 'er up! That's it! I would highly recommend it for monitoring tire pressures and keeping the tires properly inflated. Sorry I cannot comment on the other uses for it since I have not used it for those purposes yet.

Just set the pressure and go!
Great for a powderpuff mechanic, especially the capability of setting the pressure you want to achieve. It stops when the pressure setting is met and eliminates using a tire pressure gauge, which is a real asset.

Good enough for an emergency
I bought this for two reasons. First, obviously, to have in case of an emergency. I mean, how many of us REALLY check the tire pressure in our spare tire on a regular basis? The other reason was because of how air pumps at gas stations now cost $0.75 - $1.00 for 3 minutes of air, which is barely enough time to top off all 4 tires. I realize the cost is minimal, but it's the principle that you have to pay for something that was always free. I do a LOT of driving in my job, and so my tires lose a few lbs of pressure fairly regularly. I need to check them every week or two (as should everyone). I thought this pump would be good just to top off the tires now and then, and it will serve that purpose....if you're patient. Granted, I didn't expect it to have the pressure that a professional pump does, but I thought it would be a little quicker than it is. I didn't time it out precisely, but let's just say that if you need to put even just 3 or 4 psi in all 4 tires, you're better off going to the gas station and paying the $0.75. If I had to guess, I'd say it would take this thing about 2 hours to fill a nearly flat tire.
I would have given this 4 stars because it IS only meant to be for emergencies, and it would be pretty good for that, but I knocked it down to 3 because it is designed to house the cord and attachments, but the slot that is obviously meant for the plug itself (the part that goes into the accessory outlet/cigarette lighter) is too small. The plug cannot snap into it.
So anyway, I've never used other portable compressors to compare it to, but I would guess that this one is as good as any....at least for the price. If higher quality and performance is more important to you than cost, I'd probably go higher up the line.

Very Disappointed
Poor quality switch and 12V plug!!!. No storage provided for power cord and poor storage for air hose. This model is of inferior quality to a similar one from Interdynamics that I had used for over 8 years. I prefer the Campbell Hausfeld RP3200 which is well built and works fine.

Question : Should I be using my fuel shut off switch
I have a 1988 Yamaha FZ600 and it is getting very cold at night here in PA. I have been having some troubles starting it in the morning. The battery is good and it is trying to turn over but the engine just won't fire. I replaced the spark plugs this weekend. The bike starts when it gets up to about 40 degrees F and runs normally. Would it be beneficial to shut of the fuel to the engine when I get off at night Would this prevent any gunk up in the carbs which could be preventing it from firing in the cold mornings
Answer:
I dont know about others ideas but myself and everybody I know always cuts the gas when parking for 5 minuts or 5 days. Not for starting but for saftey I guess. It shouldnt have any effect on starting however. My bike very hard to start cold as well large C.I. high compression. Usually wont lower than 40.Maybe try some starting fluid.

Question : Why does my 1999 Ford Explorer's air conditioner shut off/switch to defrost when going uphill
I have a 1999 Ford Explorer. When I drive it uphill, or put the engine under even moderate load, the air conditioner switches from blowing through the normal vents into the defrost. I have taken the car to a couple of different mechanics who have been unable to solve it. Thanks for your help
Answer:
there's a vacuum hose off or pinched or it could be a vacuum leak
